Oh hi there!
I am Miss Kay.
I call myself a “K-drama scientist.”
Silly? Absolutely.๐
Intellectual? Only in my absurdly grandiose K-drama fantasies.๐คฃ
My journey into the heart of K-drama land began with “Crash Landing On You,” and oh boy, did I crash hard.
From that fateful encounter, my addiction has blossomed into what some might call an “expert level” โ a title generously bestowed upon me by friends and family who’ve watched significantly fewer K-dramas than me and now see me as their go-to K-drama encyclopedia/expert.
Navigating through the complex world of K-dramas, I have:
- developed theories on K-drama stories because I am a hopeless romantic and a nerd at heart,
- dissected plot twists until I’ve made peace with myself and can finally sleep at night,
- studied Korean culture and history and how they play into K-dramas because I still have a lot of those “Wait! What?” moments,
- and even attempted to learn Korean phrases and words because sometimes the subtitles are running sprints or taking coffee breaks
I do all of these in the name of leveling up my understanding of this past-time obsession (or addiction?๐ค๐คญ) that takes up a significant chunk of my waking hours.
My living room has turned into a laboratory for K-drama analysis, where the only experiments conducted involve binge-watching marathons and testing the limits of human emotion โ usually mine.
As a self-proclaimed “K-drama scientist,” I’ve realized that my quest for knowledge has less to do with uncovering the secrets of the universe and more with finding the perfect drama that can make me laugh, cry, and swoon all within a single episode.
At the end of the day, K-dramas are my go-to for relaxation. It takes my mind away from all the stress and craziness of everyday life. I’m sure you can relate to that.๐
So, if youโre looking for someone who can passionately provide K-drama reviews and discuss the finer points of K-drama scenes and themes from the perspective of a non-Korean K-drama enthusiast, then this is the place to be.
Let’s dive into this endless sea of K-drama together, armed with nothing but our remote controls and an insatiable appetite for Korean storytelling.
Much Sarang,โค๏ธ
